As any quilter can tell you, star shapes can be very tricky. The new Applique Quilting Stars collection makes it easy to add perfect star appliques to quilts, table linens, pillows clothing and more.
Download free project instructions for the star quilt shown here.
Use your embroidery machine to create accurate and consistent 2″, 3″, and 4″ star appliques. These embroidery designs also include continuous quilting borders and decorative designs to accent your project.
This collection is designed to use with the Accuquilt system, but you can certainly cut out your stars the traditional way. After you cut out your applique shapes, choose your applique method, stitch the applique in place, embroider over raw edges, and finish with decorative embellishments.
This collection has 33 motifs in 1 to 3 sizes each for a total of 79 embroidery designs, including:
- Quilted centers: Starburst, Rays, Stars, Stipples, Angles Stripes, Horizontal Stripes, Vertical Stripes, and Waves
- Stitching finishes: Blanket, E-Stitch, Ladder, Satin, Staggered and Star
- Applique groupings
- Echo quilting
- Peek-a-boo centers, two options; a portion of the applique fabric is covered with stitching allowing the fabric from underneath to peek through the center.
- Applique star with sprinkles; fill stitch and quilted options. Decorative sprinkles are embroidered around the applique star for a decorative accent
- Fill stitch decorative embroideries; solid, positive fill and negative fill options
- Continuous quilting borders: 1″, 2″, and 2-1/2″ wide versions
