My Design Won’t Save… Why?!
Posted by McKenzie on April 9, 2010 | 2 Comments
Q: I’ve edited a design using my embroidery software, but it will not save, why?
A: The most common cause of this issue is your user preferences. Before you panic, double check your preferences to sure that the correct format and correct hoop size are selected. If both of these are accurate, then you may be trying to save a design that has too many stitches for your format. For example, the .pes format has the following maximum stitches per hoop:
| Machine Brand/Model | Largest Hoop Size | Max. Stitch Count | Max. Color Count |
| reading capability | reading capability | ||
| Baby Lock: | |||
| EM1, EM2, EAC | 100 x 100 | 32,000 | 64 |
| BL60E | 110 x 110 | 32,000 | 64 |
| ESi, ESi 2, | 100 x 100 | 32,000 | 64 |
| INT (Intrigue) | 100 x 100 | 32,000 | 64 |
| ESE1 (Esante 1) | 130 x 180 | 50,000 | 64 |
| ESE2 (Esante 2) | 130 x 180 | 100,000 | 64 |
| ESL (Ellure-Old Style) | 130 x 180 | 50,000 | 99 |
| BLR (Ellure) | 130 x 180 | 50,000 | 99 |
